Led team through the conversion of an NT dominated, mixed mode environment to a Windows 2000 Native Mode Environment. • Directed the migration of mixed WinFrame and MetaFrame 1.8 Citrix Servers from older HP lpr Series Servers to IBM Netfinity/eSeries xServers running MetaFrameXP, hosting an Oracle Client for Windows (to provide access to the UNIX environment (Oracle database). • Consolidated 24 relatively small servers into three large Exchange servers using clustered nodes (active/passive) and shared disk arrays to provide both high availability and excellent performance. • Converted from a mix of ARCServer and BackUp Exec to a Tivoli Network Solution (ADSM). By switching to Tivoli’s ADSM as the backup method, the successful backup percentage was increased to near 100%. • Utilized the balance of the Tivoli Network Management Tools to monitor and evaluate the network on a real time basis. Accomplishments: • Spearheaded an initiative to increase customer satisfaction by using proactive problem resolution instead of a typical break-fix support.
