•Responsible for completing the overall RIVA (Robotic Intra Venous Automation) system setup, including testing, troubleshooting, coordinating repairs and completing the required FDA documentation within a given time frame. •Responsible for the configuration, testing and troubleshooting of Mitsubishi PLC’s, servo system and VFD’s. Omron safety networks, control PC’s, SQL databases, stepper motors, robotic systems, vision systems, pressure sensors, air flow sensors and various other sensors. •Supported Product Development with technical support in the form of testing new software, prototype components and feature enhancements. Completed any supporting documentation required. •Supported the Quality Department in different aspects. Provided failure analysis and test support for returned field components. Supported the department with incoming acceptance testing and completed NCR’s for failing components •Responsible for the operation, training, calibration and creation of test programs for the Cablescan and Hipot tester. This resulted in electrical/mechanical sub assemblies and cables that were fully tested for isolation, continuity, capacitance and resistance producing an error free sub assembly to be installed in the RIVA system. •Supported the Electronic, Mechanical and Software Developers to ensure that new products were kept on schedule and that all required design verification tests were performed to industry-standards and the results document in the form of a report. When a product failed it was necessary to troubleshoot the problem and work with the developers to implement a suitable solution and retest. •Successfully performed Design Verification Tests (DVT) set fourth by the So Society for Automotive Engineers (SAE) and the American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE) such as ASAE EP455, SAE J1455, ISO 14982 and customer supplied specifications. •Developed and built test jigs required to support the development and verification of prototypes. This task included the use of OrCAD to produce schematics, MicroGraphics to produce overlays, completing part requisitions to secure components from suppliers and working with the Wire Harness Division to have any required harnesses produced. This resulted in a test jigs that could simulate digital, analog and frequency inputs and provide loads for current outputs. •Assisted the Electronic and Mechanical Design Engineers with the development and testing of a variety of VMM’s (Vansco Multiplexing Modules). I gained knowledge of the industry-standard SAE J1939 CAN communication protocol and Ladder Logic. •Travelled to key customer locations when required to assist in technical difficulties and field service campaigns. Travelled to New Flyer in St. Cloud, Minnesota to replace Vansco Multiplex Modules aboard coaches. This allowed New Flyer to continue producing coaches during the field service campaign and maintained excellent customer relations. Show less
