  I've been working with the P.E+ program for 3 years now. At P.E+ our job is to teach kids about sports, exercise, and nutrition. We go through a years worth of curriculum for various sports and fitness activities, as well as nutritional and hygiene lessons. We care about the health and well being of our students.   I worked at School Age Child Care (SACC) for about 3 years. Each counselor was tasked with a group of about 14 students ranging from kindergarten to 5th grade. Our job was to create a safe and productive place for them to be after school. This would range from assisting in their homework/studies, setting up sports/activities for them to play, and checking in with them to ensure they are happy and well.

  Swim and Gym is a summer camp for children ranged from 1st grade to 5th grade. Each counselor is tasked with a group of 14 campers. We would set up various activities for them throughout the day. Some being sports, arts and crafts, and swimming. I had the pleasure to not only be a counselor but also lifeguarding for them one summer. I was also the lead for some of our skits and games one summer where I would dress up as a pirate and entertain the kids, all in good fun. We also had weekly field trips so the kids could get out and experience new places and have a good time. Our goal was to ultimately impact each child in a positive and lasting way through being positive and caring role models. Show less
