I have been working at this fantastic location since 2012 and love keeping so many skills sharp while working here as my secondary means of employment. Skills such as multi-tasking, interpersonal, crisis management and aversion!

Working for a pretty incredible team top to bottom has taught me to be not only as efficient as possible, but how to handle constructive criticism appropriately and effectively as well. It's also shown me that you don't have sacrifice attention to detail for the sake of efficiency.

Account Coordinator and Video Production Assistant
-
Mar 2014 - Jun 2014
As part of my enrollment in the Advertising program at St. Lawrence, I was lucky enough to complete my six week placement with the Spark Video Production House. Spark is a student and staff run organization based out of the college and though it is still in its fledgling years, it is already becoming a powerhouse in the local community. During my time at Spark, I took on a number of roles. In an Account Coordinator position I communicated with clients, talent and staff, organized shoots and helped to write scripts and storyboards. As a Video Production Assistant I stepped out of my comfort zone and was able to learn the ins and outs of video shoots. Helping with things like equipment set up and take down, filming, and editing footage were not things I had done at length before, but helped me a great deal in expanding my skill set.

Fuse Mentor
-
Sep 2012 - Apr 2014
As a mentor in the Fuse Mentorship Program at St. Lawrence College, I was responsible for helping and encouraging a number of younger students as they began their first few years of college. This included not only helping them with the ins and outs of the college, encouraging them with their classes and offering guidance wherever necessary, but only just befriending them in general. My first job within the retail industry was not without its ups and downs. I grew up the most at this job though; learning lessons in maturity and how to become a reliable employee over all. This was also my first employer that did not give hours out based on tenure but rather who performed the best in sales goals and over all work ethic. It was because of this that I learned very quickly how to become an effective salesman using what was considered un orthodox sales techniques. What could not be disputed how ever was the results I provided for a year straight.
