At Micromeritics Instrument Corporation I currently hold the position of mechanical engineer. My roles have included lead and support mechanical engineer on the development of Micromeritics' core product portfolio, as well as mechanical engineer support for non-standard products. Areas and skills of interest include full 3D CAD engineer modeling of products, product heating and cool supported with thermal simulation, feasibility researching, laboratory based R&D and prototyping, bill of material generation, and prototype and production unit costing. I was involved in the operation of spectrometers capable of spectroscopic measurements of molecules in the gas phase. A focus was placed on small metal containing molecules, both neutral and ionic. While completing my academic requirements, I was tasked with the responsibilities of both independent and collaborative research, the preparation of original manuscripts to be submitted for publication in peer reviewed journals, and the presentation of research material at international symposia. The principle work of my dissertation involved the design, construction, and operation of a photoelectron velocity - map imaging spectrometer. The main skills acquired from this work include: use of pulsed dye lasers, YAG lasers, and excimer lasers (spanning from IR to near VUV), ultra-high vacuum experience, laser ablation of metal and non-metal targets, design, construction, and use of ion optics en vacuo, time of flight mass spectrometry, and velocity - map imaging spectroscopy.Software: 3D CAD SolidWorks, electric potential simulator SIMION, LabVIEW. • Physical Chemistry Undergraduate Labortory Lecturer
      • Sep 2010 - May 2012

I was an instructor and lecturer for the undergraduate physical chemistry laboratory where I advised students on the aims and outcomes of each experiment as well as solving problems throughout the practical sessions. Continuous monitoring of the students’ safely was also employed.
