  After years of using C/C++ to interact with hardware in various industries, I've now finally made a move into the financial industry. Working as a C++ Developer on the Commodities Trading Desk, my immediate task was to help migrate the Commodities Trading Application (HOOPS) onto a Solaris 10 server. After the successful completion of 5 server migrations, my long term ambition is to further bridge the gap between business and IT. After years of using C/C++ to interact with hardware in various industries, I've now finally made a move into the financial industry.
