Oakland Enrolls is a non-profit organization committed to helping Oakland families choose the best Oakland public schools for their children, charter or district. Oakland Enrolls aims to empower Oakland families to make informed choices about their public school options and make the process of selecting and enrolling in a public school easy, efficient, and equitable. As Operations Coordinator, I am responsible for managing systems that track and maintain the accuracy of Oakland Enrolls’ student applications. Collecting large sets of data on Oakland Charter School Applications and organizing information to be easily ingested by school administrators.

Responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Business Center and will assist, as necessary, with aspects to membership payments, passport acceptance and customer service. Collect data and maintain all spreadsheets using accounting practices to ensure accuracy and meet deadlines. Supervise (7-10) Cashier Assistants and ensure to adhere to University, Departmental and U.S. Department of State rules regarding cashiering stations, Purchasing Card Industries (PCI) compliance and passport acceptance.

Responsible for managing chapter affairs in absence of the president. Directly handled the membership intake process between the chapter and national organization. Maintained risk management policies on campus to stay within guidelines of the National Organization. As a high school Math/Science tutor, I was responsible for teaching creating weekly lesson plans in addition to what new material students received in class that week. Together in small groups and reviewing students work helped enhance their STEM education learning experience.
