I studied with Kwabena as a MA student at Brock University. I always looked forward to having class with Kwabena. He was prepared, deliberative and thoughtful and brought a serious mind to all manner of discussion. His dedication to studying, researching, and writing was truly commendable. He has faced many obstacles and hardships and I admire his strength of character in overcoming them. On a personal level, I would like to share that some of my formative thoughts about international development, humanity, and connecting with "the other" were inspired by many one-on-one discussions with Kwabena. His ideas and insights were a bridge across cultures for me, and they continue to influence my decisions today. I believe that when Kwabena brings his intellect, humour, and compassion to the workplace, everyone will benefit.
