Creating a “Culture of Philanthropy” at a small private college in SWGA for annual, capital and planned giving. Key focus is on building relationships based on the life changing experiences happening at the University. Over the past three years the students at Thomas University have continued to benefit from very generous supporters. These Donors have made heartfelt gifts surpassing goals by 25%, 28% and 35% respectively. We are excited to see lives changed and expectations raised. The learning opportunities continue at TU as previously with the Y. (where I had to successfully understand new concepts of foster care, state and federal funding) Currently working with Higher Education, requires an adaption and growth of skills to work within a University.

Cause driven leader, held various roles within the Y organization before we returned to our hometown area in 2017 in part to help take care of aging parents. Over the last 15 years with the YMCA, served as the CEO with 3 local communities; specializing in financial turn arounds, mission focus and staff development. Provided vision and leadership to YMCAs as small as $3mm annual operating to as large as $42mm with 700 employees. Including Multiple government grants and contracts. Philanthropy was donor centered resulting in mission growth and impact.YMCA experience was a myriad of learning opportunities. This experience includes Board development, fundraising and strategic planning in both rural and more cosmopolitan cities. Being able to learn and grasp the foster care system and homelessness programming was a new and rewarding challenge.
