Bio
Don Skene
I have worked as a Mechanical Engineer with Kurt Meyer for about 3-1/2 years at Hewlett Packard beginning in 2005, and would like to recommend him for other similar positions. Kurt has been organized and effective in his work. A "self starter", he works efficiently alone or as a team member. Kurt communicates well verbally and in writing and I have found him to be very knowledgeable and informed on the details of his area of the project. He is an effective listener and also gives thoughtful and clear directions. I have observed that he adapts well to new tasks and responds productively to unexpected events. I am glad to have had the opportunity to work on projects with Kurt.

Current: Design and development of component life testers and subassembly testers used in inkjet printer manufacturing. Designs encompass mechanical fixture design (CAD using PTC Creo Elements Direct 3d), electronics and electromechanical assemblies, and software to provide operator interface. Previous: Mechanical Engineer with RLA Engineering working at the Vancouver Washington Hewlett-Packard site. Primary duties include mechanical design of printer and printer testbed parts, design and layout of PID control boxes for testing, and coordination of printer testbed builds. Spent 4-1/2 years as a Field Service Engineer at Cymer Laser at the Intel Ronler Acres site performing Excimer lithography laser calibrations, maintenance, and upgrades. My tenure as an FSE with Cymer Laser was very challenging and it was good to be working on "bleeding edge" equipment. 13 years as a Mechanical Designer / Mechanical Engineering Technician at Hewlett-Packard. Primary responsibilities were around designing life tests for printer mechanisms. My goals are to use my electrical, mechanical, and software skills to improve my companies standing in the marketplace. I enjoy the high tech industry and the challenges associated with working in this field. Specialties: Mechanical assembly design, electrical circuit design and layout, motion control systems design and tuning, control systems design, industrial lithography laser tuning, alignment and repair.
