I am proud to play an active part in furthering the AAMC vision to consolidate its position as a leading supplier of accident management services to the insurance industry. Providing leadership to a team across HR, L&D, Compliance, Legal and Issues/Crisis functions, my mission is to ensure compliance with APRA, ASIC and General Insurance Code of Practice requirements, meeting stringent standards at a level that surpasses our competitors. To achieve this, I partner with external consultants and internal stakeholders from the executive team to the frontline, leading audits, building compliance rigour at every touchpoint, implementing robust governance frameworks and ways of working that strengthen operational competency and reduce risk. Additionally, I oversee AAMC corporate positioning, driving a strong brand transformation agenda, while gently guiding our people throughout the change journey. With a passion for challenge and a love of creating the ‘new’, I am excited by the future, as AAMC expands its service offerings, remaining relevant in an evolving industry. ♦ Initiated and spearheaded the implementation of a dedicated compliance function, developing and presenting a compelling, data driven business case; ♦ Embedded compliance rigour, driving a comprehensive gap analysis, shaping a delivery team, and delivering phase one of the compliance roadmap within an 18-month timeframe; ♦ Significantly reduced contractual risk, establishing a formal review and approval process incorporating client specific compliance requirements, ensuring mutual benefit to both parties; ♦ Rationalised costs across recruitment, employee training, travel, and fleet functions, transforming HR and L&D functions, tightening budgetary and expenditure controls; ♦ Enhanced customer experience and broadened recruitment reach beyond Brisbane, implementing an online training solution enabling a remote customer service workforce, delivering consistent training regardless of location. Following my success at Anglo American (role below), I launched my own public relations consultancy, supporting clients with a broad range of initiatives such as brand awareness, target market strategy development, community engagement, media releases, article writing and tender/concept submissions. Select client projects include: ♦ Specialist medical practitioner group - selected by the board to promote medical administration support services to other specialist medical practitioners, designed and led a 12-week campaign strategy in collaboration with the design studio, incorporating media buying, article writing, website cX enhancement and refreshed enquiry call scripting. ♦ Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation – over a 12-month period, developed and implemented a members and community engagement plan, refreshed website content and boosted significant event publicity through photography and photojournalism, article writing, and media liaison. ♦ Private restaurateur - engaged by two separate restaurant chains to develop design concepts for presentation to Mirvac Group, with the goal to gain inclusion within Mirvac’s Queensland-based retail development projects. Conducted in-depth demographic research, clearly demonstrating wide community appeal within Mirvac retail project pipeline locations and increased patronage within the retail precinct. Show less

Based at the Metallurgical Coal corporate office, in this highly mobile position, I worked across all Australian mine sites, delivering crisis and general communications direction at both a site level and corporate level as well as participate as an active member of the global communications and crisis communication teams. My goal was to connect Australian and Canadian employees to the organisation in meaningful ways and create a sense of belonging. During my tenure, I worked to reduce the recordable injury rate, collaborating with the Head of Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) to deliver local and global initiatives, engaging with regional community groups, broadly promoting the safety message. In addition, I safeguarded corporate reputation within the incident management team, crafting external communications, writing CEO speeches, announcements, holding statements and media releases and supporting site-based management during events. ♦ Boosted employee and broader community safety awareness, introducing a holistic approach to Safety, Health and Environment campaigns, encouraging active employee participation in activities, and extending reach to include family members, the local public, and businesses. ♦ Delivered highly emotive, engaging campaigns, such as the “Things I would miss” initiative, asking local children of employees, primary schools, and day care centres to draw a picture of something they would miss if their mum or dad was injured at work, culminating in a prize as voted by employees.
