Accounting Clerk
-
Dec 2018 - Sep 2021
As an Account Clerk at the jail has given me the opportunity to sharpen my attention to detail skills. My main responsibility is to purchase all items that will be used by inmates and officers. Staying within the budget and iProcurement Laws, I also have to be aware of any possible item that could be converted into contraband. In this position I report directly to the Business Manager. 911 Dispatcher
-
Nov 2015 - Dec 2018
Being a 911 dispatcher is one of those jobs that unless you do it, you have no idea. I did love this job! Being able to help people was the most rewarding aspect of that position. Empathy, compassion, organization, speed, accuracy. . . All of these were exercised with every shift. Being a 911 dispatcher is one of those jobs that unless you do it, you have no idea. Sales / Marketing Manager
-
May 2000 - Mar 2016
There are many goals that must be achieved on a daily basis. We create and manufacture tin cookie cutters. By delegating the responsibilities of picking and packaging the orders to ready them for shipping, I am able to concentrate on the customer service and the marketing of our product.Customers are contacted via phone and email often to ensure their complete satisfaction with our product. I realize that there are many other products on the market and they chose us! I want them to stay loyal to us, so customer service is key.I am also responsible for contracting new customers. I do this not only with phone calls, but also social media. By marketing our product to different companies throughout various methods, I am able to reach a larger audience. The end goal always being, sell more cookie cutters and keep them coming back for more.At the end of the day, I am responsible for manufacturing and the shipping of the product, employee efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Working for a small business, I also find myself doing whatever needs to get done. No task is too small or too large.

Customer Service Representative
-
Jan 1995 - Dec 1998
When I first started at Aetna, I was a medical and dental claims processor. Within a year I was promoted to a Customer Service Representative. As a CSR, I was responsible for fielding calls from members regarding their plan benefits and answering any questions pertaining to claim processing. Working at Aetna taught me many things. One that I am most thankful for . . . I can read any insurance benefit plan and actually know what is going on and how to explain it in layman's terms. When it comes to medical insurance, I am confident in my skills.
