  I support and guide children and young people aged six to eighteen who have additional home needs, who care for a family member they live with. Highlights from my role include: • Providing fun and entertaining activities that offer young carers a distraction from their caring role and a chance to communicate with others to reduce feelings of isolation • Planning, delivering and evaluating weekly sessions, along with school holiday trips. Engage children in all activities to keep them safe during sessions • Working alongside other professionals to identify and reduce social isolation amongst young carers, supporting them to achieve positive outcomes through the development of self-confidence, self-esteem and essential life skills Show less
