As a first assignment within the DEME Group I worked as a Steel Procurement Engineer. This function gave me the responsibilities of the steel procurement of several Offshore Wind Farms such as the Rentel Offshore Wind Farm (42 windmills, Belgium) and the HoHe See Offshore Wind Farm (71 windmills, Germany). The main responsabilities included:• Tactical and operational procurement.• Preparation complete Price Request Basis.• Following up and analyzing offers from suppliers (price, contractual & technical aspects, planning, QA/HSE aspects, …) • Negotiation/finalization contracts together with project team. (FIDIC Contracts)• Oversight of total accounts of more than 300 million euro.• Managing relationships to ensure customer needs are clearly defined and met and to sustain loyalty.
