This practice returned and reused the water, nitrogen, phosphorus, and other nutrients in the wastewater to farm fields to aid in crop growth. As the project engineer I was responsible for design of pretreatment facilities to treat the wastewater through mechanical and biological process to levels that met regulatory requirements for use as reclaimed water.
