  Title: Strategy for implementing JDF in a middle-sized sheetfed printing plant in Sweden, based on a case study. The thesis was conducted in cooperation with a Swedish company, called Intellecta, with their printing plant in Solna as the object of the case study. As a consequence, the thesis is delimited to middle-sized sheetfed printing plants, in correspondence with the case study. Since the object of this thesis was to investigate the initiate phase of an implementation project, the market of JDF-compatible products was not investigated. This in turn has the effect that a detailed economical analyze was not possible. The case study was conducted by describing the production workflow and the problems that were found, based on observations and interviews. With contribution from the investigation of JDF, a discussion how a plan for implementing JDF for the investigated printing plant was worked out. In the conclusion, a more general approach for the production of an implementation strategy is described, which is based on experiences from the case study and information from the investigation of JDF.
