This position consisted of two parts. The first part was the internship, where I was able to get to know the structure of the company and the procedures governing the Estonian civil engineering/water engineering industry. From the very beginning, I was able to participate in various projects, by giving assistance with project documentation complexion, improving technical drawings or making changes to them. This internship taught me how to use the programme AutoCAD more proficiently. Also during this internship, I had to deal with writing the project description paper and confirming the validity of the drawings in comparison with real life. Also, I was able to write my own project although under supervision for a municipality in Estonia. So the key points that I learned during the work here are - independent research and working with books in order to apply the learned theory in a real-life situation. Working in a small-scale company and supporting each other. Technical skills in using AutoCAD, VK and MS products more efficiently. Show less

During the internship in this factory, I had the second opportunity to work with ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards as I was an intern in the quality department (environmental quality). My tasks were to participate in audits, confirm the correctness of procedures around the factory and analyze some key parameters which should be improved in order to increase the efficiency of the factory. All of this occurred under supervision. This is my first insight into the corporate procedures of a large scale production factory. Show less
