Erin Cohen
As the Manager of Volunteer Services, I had the honor to work with Kristin and the pleasure to report directly to her. I witnessed Kristin champion a volunteer management software solution which completely changed the customer relationship management process at City Harvest. She successfully petitioned with upper management and took on a project management role in creating a customized database to fit the needs of the organization, its programs and our volunteers. Kristin gracefully balanced this full time venture while concurrently leading the Volunteer Services Department. The new technology completely streamlined every part of our business model and changed the face of the way we manage our volunteers and our projects. Every aspect of our work is done through this new system and life without it is unfathomable. In addition to watching Kristin shine as a change agent in the organization I was lucky enough to observe her create, shape and lead a department. She has the forethought, open mindedness and flexibility with the perfect balance of being a big picture thinker who is detail oriented which all together make her a great leader. She brings her leadership abilities to the table but is never shy to roll her sleeves up. She is able to navigate challenging relationships with a high level of emotional intelligence and has a talent for finding common ground with others. Although she has moved on, her legacy of success remains in the department she created.

Kristin’s project management skill is one of her true talents. She is highly organized and is able to prioritize a multitude of tasks of multilevel plans. She used her expertise to brainstorm and suggest many ways to communicate key performance indicators in a digestible, replicable and systematized manner. Kristin was meticulous with the data and remained on target (if not before) for all deliverables. Her attention to detail gave us full confidence in her abilities to provide accurate and clear information. As a result of her work as a consultant she created multiple dashboards and templates in addition to user manuals with best practices. This project was a true success and it was a real testament of Kristin’s hard work, energy and talent.
