Kristine ble satt til å lede et krevende pilotprosjekt for å bedre kommunenes oppfølging av bosetting av overføringsflyktninger fra krigs- og konfliktområder i Vest-Afrika. Pilotprosjektet innebar alt fra faktainnsamling i krigs- og kriseområdet i Vest-Afrika til å definere mål og virkemiddelbruk mellom UDI, kommuner, frivillige organisasjoner og andre offentlige myndigheter.
