Everyday tasks included running the cash register, assisting customers with finding merchandise and any customer service issues, and rearranging merchandise according to planagrams or to create room for new products. I was also in charge of opening and closing the store, counting the contents of the registers and safe at the beginning and end of the day, make deposits, and handle all payroll for associates.
