Working as a climate ambassador at the GreenScent project, I have been involved in the implementation of the objectives of the European Green Deal through raising people’s awareness and testing a set of teaching methods and materials planned to be used in schools and universities. In July 2023, I attended the Forster Summer School hosted by the Faculty of Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Geography and Geosciences at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. I had the opportunity to gain both theoretical and hands-on experience in the field of urban climate, the influence of vegetation, changing human-air relation as well as green and smart city design and discuss possible approaches for long-term improvement of the urban climate and opportunities for action. National Geographic Society + The Nature Conservancy Remote Extern

By taking part in this externship program, I was able to research a variety of marine conservation issues and relate them to the local environment (inadequate municipal wastewater management and neuroactive substances in the Danube). I also performed a gap analysis to find gaps and suggest solutions. Finally, I focused on developing engrossing narratives for the local community using ArcGIS StoryMaps.
