Think New Mexico is a nonpartisan, results-oriented think tank dedicated to improving the quality of life for all New Mexicans, especially those who lack a strong voice in the political process.As Associate Director, I:• Research and write public policy proposals• Draft legislation to implement those proposals• Advocate for Think New Mexico’s legislation with policymakers and serve as an expert witness during legislative committee hearings• Developed and oversee Think New Mexico’s “Leadership Internship” program, including recruiting candidates, communicating with all applicants, evaluating applications, arranging interviews with finalists, supervising and mentoring interns, and helping connect internship alumni with career opportunities• Co-author and edit policy reports and annual reports• Complete graphic design on reports (using Quark Xpress)• Design and maintain website (using Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver, as well as hand-writing xhtml code)• Write grant proposals and grant reports• Assist Executive Director with personnel matters, including recruiting, interviewing, and vetting candidates for positions at Think New Mexico
