This internship allowed me my first glimpse into the hospitality industry. I would work at the winery during daily operations and during special events. I would greet customers; take and fill wine orders, and do clerical work. During special events I would be a waitress and hostess or would greet customers at the door and make sure that they were of legal age to drink. Also, I would shadow the tasting room bartender where I would learn about the different wines and how to properly serve and taste wine.
