I had the pleasure of training Kristin when she started at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel. She demonstrated management skills from the beginning. She quickly adapted and grasped Starwood's hotel system and accounting practices. Kristin took ownership of any task and went above and beyond without anyone asking her to. I have seen Kristin's career grow, and she has accomplished a lot in such a short period of time. She would be a great Director of Finance some day.

Kristin worked with us as the international interns and worked in Front Office and the Club Lounge. She was well liked by guests and our team members. We received compliments from guests and her supervisors. Kristin was also one of the key members in our re-branding and re-launch of the Club Lounge. Trust Kristin will do well in her future endeavours. Johnson Wong

While I was working at The Westin I worked and trained as Westin Host, Westin Executive Club Associate, Front Desk Associate, Guest Relations Officer, Guest Service Manager, and Housekeeping. The experiences I had while working here has helped me understand how to work and deal with people of a different culture. I also learned how to effectively communicate with others with a major language barrier. I worked at Hotel Fifty as the only pastry chef and this helped me learn how to properly use my time wisely. During my internship I was asked to help design the spring dessert menu. I learned what goes into making a cohesive menu. I worked at Hotel Fifty as the only pastry chef and this helped me learn how to properly use my time wisely. This internship was about understanding the whole hotel and its operations. I spent time in many different departments such as Front Desk, Housekeeping, Accounting, Food & Beverage as a Waitress and Hostess, Sales & Marketing, and Revenue Management. While I was working here the hotel was undergoing extensive renovations and I learned how to effectively deal with guest complaints and stressful situations. This internship allowed me my first glimpse into the hospitality industry. I would work at the winery during daily operations and during special events. I would greet customers; take and fill wine orders, and do clerical work. During special events I would be a waitress and hostess or would greet customers at the door and make sure that they were of legal age to drink. Also, I would shadow the tasting room bartender where I would learn about the different wines and how to properly serve and taste wine.
