  I assist the Director of Kid City Elementary with providing programming for elementary age kids on Sunday mornings as well as Wednesday evenings. This sounds easy but it is very difficult in the sense that we work in an ever changing environment that adapts with current culture as well as neighboring communities. Currently we provide a small group environment on Sunday mornings within a large group environment (this means that every child connects with an adult that has made a commitment to know their name and know their family) and we utilize the 252 Orange Curriculum that I modify for our programming. I have just designed a program for Wednesday nights called "Kid City Family Night" that utilizes the Awana curriculum and also blends in our Sunday morning monthly virtues as well as family style worship. I have become the guru in change in our department and have had the privilege of leading many through complicated, emotionally charged situations and have learned that human nature is adverse to this idea of "change."   I ran the preschool department (ages birth through 4 yrs old) while the church was locating a new preschool Director. I helped plan and update our area for the Kid City Grand Opening and I implemented our Kid City Gate Greeter position. I walked through hiring and training 7 paid Sunday morning staff workers for our baby, toddler and two's rooms and loved every minute of working with our preschoolers and their families!!
