I get to lead city staff and their residents through demonstration projects, helping communities reinvent their public spaces through policy change, neighborhood activism, digital fabrication, and good ole' fashioned project management. I employ focus and reliability to project manage 75% of annual projects for $650K organization. I orchestrate progress of an Internal Team of 4-6 members and an External Team of dozens to ensure the successful execution of projects. I am hands-on with the sales and proposal process through initial spec visits, client pitches, and community kickoffs introducing projects. I support the attainment of ESG goals for publicly-traded companies, including Microsoft and Santander. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬 ➥ Fueled continuous quality improvement by increasing community engagement, ongoing activation, safety precautions, and mobilization of community activists to yield Better Block customer retention of +75%. ➥ Navigated COVID by making Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and completing background for local policy changes. ➥ Supported construction of parklets across the US, repurposed the team, and equipped them with new skills to develop open-source solutions for struggling small businesses and communities. ➥ Optimized internal functions by simplifying accounting and financial concepts and enabled training on fiscal management. ➥ Modernized operations through partnerships with machine learning and AI. ➥ Completed one of many post-pandemic projects in Dallas by working with a public-private partnership to create a pilot food park; worked with the city to modify the permitting process for equity, lower barriers to entry, and create inclusive community space.

I orchestrated the creation and maintenance of all commercial contracts from scratch (restaurants and college culinary programs). I employed route optimization software to outline routes, discover bottlenecks, maximize efficiency, and use marketing strategy to finetune route optimization and efficiency. I fostered business partnerships through organic outreach, company research, networking at sustainability conferences and other compost groups, free training, speaking engagements such as EarthX, and serving as a Dallas Farmer’s Market vendor. I oversaw company financials, including accounts receivable and payable, cash flow forecasts, payroll, expense management, and monthly reconciliation. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬 ➥ Developed foundational pieces for the company by designing a business model and pricing structure, which encompassed analysis of growth and scale. ➥ Exceeded the norm to keep costs down by negotiating credit card processing fees and streamlining the pricing structure. ➥ Produced 30% monthly revenue growth in 2019 through pricing and growth strategy. ➥ Expanded MRR to $8K from inception for 1+ year, with 0 funding. ➥ Fostered partnerships and designed projects with 30+ DFW sustainability partners to enable new products and market expansion. ➥ Funneled in ~12 new commercial clients (range of service from $300 to $5K per month).
