As an Independent Beauty Consultant, I teach women and men how to take good care of their skin and why it's important. I also teach women about color cosmetics.....how to apply, what looks best with their natural features and how to compliment their natural, God-given beauty. I strive to provide the very best customer service to my clients. As an Independent Sales Director, I have the privilege of training, motivating, encouraging and empowering women. I know from my own personal experience that Mary Kay is a safe environment that encourages personal and professional growth. My confidence has grown since starting my own business with Mary Kay and it is my desire to help other women recognize their potential, build their self-esteem, and help them build a successful home-based business.

Most of my time at FBC has been spent working for the Senior Pastor and the Minister of Education & Administration. This kept me very busy managing the office for two very busy ministers. I answered phone calls, scheduled appointments, proofed professional communication, attended many staff and committee meetings and took minutes at the meetings, corresponded with volunteers, planned events for staff/volunteers/church members, made travel plans for ministers/personnel committee members/potential new staff members/special guests, prepared material for workshops & meetings, created and updated handbooks & church records, prepared & mailed letters, organized a building capital campaign, organized picture taking for church directories, filing, computer work, organized parties & purchased gifts for all employees, created gift baskets for special guests, helped create policies for background screening staff and volunteers working with children, and made myself available for anything else that needed to be done.I still do most of those things, but now work only for the Senior Pastor (and the committee chairs)instead of multiple pastors, due to staff restructuring. I take pride in knowing that as long as I'm doing my job effectively and to the best of my ability, the Pastor is able to do his job effectively and minister to more people.

I helped job applicants through the application and testing processes. I interviewed and evaluated applicants to determine the work that best fit their experience and strengths and did my best to match them with appropriate jobs. I also entered job applications into our corporate database, requesting background screens & drug tests when necessary.I also visited with companies wanting to hire temporary employees as well as temp-to-hire employees, listened to their needs and created job descriptions. I would then work to match qualified applicants with open positions, while doing my best to meet the needs/wants of both parties. This frequently involved visiting job sites, meeting with managers, and training employees. It also involved being "on-call" during some evenings and weekends, going into work to fill an immediate position if employees didn't show up for their scheduled shift. It also involved, when necessary, relieving employees of their current position.

I worked with students at Wayland's Fairbanks, Alaska campus. My job was in Plainview, TX at the main campus, but worked over the phone and through e-mail with the Fairbanks campus. I looked at college credits and military credits for each student and helped them fill in their degree plans. I worked with students at Wayland's Fairbanks, Alaska campus.
