Daytona Beach, Florida Area I accepted my first Certified Nursing Assistant position at this facility in the Open Heart Unit. There I learned many skills and was trained to work in both the step down unit as well as the Intensive Care Unit. After about nine months, I was cross-trained to be the Unit Secretary for both units. These positions really helped me to learn information and skills that was very helpful in becoming a registered nurse.
