I lead and co-lead programs year round for our national wide non profit based out of Sun Valley Idaho. Our innovative therapeutic programs range from climbing, whitewater kayaking/rafting, mountaineering, surfing, scuba, horsemanship, skiing and much more. I also spearhead California based collaborations and referrals with such partners as Merging Vets and Players and the Palo Alto VA. While working in collaboration with CEO, CCO, and Program manager to make sure that community based and summer programs were fully staffed, that staff were trained properly and accordingly, and that programs were planned and carried out with ease.I also insured participants were properly assessed and appropriate goals were created to suit their needs.Along with that I coordinated and orientated volunteers, assisted in grant ideas, spearheaded special event programs, and problem solved when necessary.All the while I headed up facilitating rental groups from school groups to companies through team building, low ropes, and high ropes course elements. Wilderness Therapy Guide

While at Apsiro guiding adjudicated youth and young adults I preformed many tasks ranging from; -Safely lead them through various therapeutic based itineraries such as: mountain biking, rock climbing, backpacking, skiing, and canyoneering. -Facilitate and teach the students the hard skills required to perform the itineraries above. - Lead intentional groups with the students on communication, trust, team building, and self empowerment . -Reporting back to their therapist on the students progress or regression, along with sitting in on their therapy sessions at resupplies. - Trained on how to handle and de-escalate high stress situations from suicidal idealizations to student run away's. - Teaching the students basic survival skills such as how to back country cook, stay warm, the importance of hydrating, geology, and basic self care while out in the wilderness. -Towards the end of employment at Apsiro I assisted in logistics of vans, groups, equipment, and in-taking new student and processing students out of our program. As an intern at Bradford Woods I preformed tasks such as; -Working together as a interdisciplinary team with other interns, camp counselors, camp leads, supervisors, and the medical staff. -Rotating through every program area while conducting assessments, writing goals and objectives, and keeping documentation throughout the participants' stay at camp. -Designing activities and equipment to meet campers needs. - Be able to setup, facilitate, and tear down of the fully adaptable zip lines, alpine tower, and other ropes courses. -Having flexibility, adaptability, and knowledge to handle any situation, whether it be a medical emergency, adaptation to an activity, or how to de-escalate a behavioral situation.
