  Thriving Non Profits (TNP) is a cohort program that supports non profit organizations and charities to explore enterprising approaches, assess multiple revenue stream options and through facilitated team discussions and tailored coaching, organizations create a diversified revenue strategy. Organizations are then able to plan for the future, navigate financial ups and downs and increase mission impact.   Scale Collaborative began having conversations in 2014 on how to showcase, inspire, and support social enterprises across Vancouver Island. seCatalyst was born and is a cross sector collaboration to bring high impact events, days of learning, and opportunities for impact and money to connect. seCatalyst partnership combines over 20+ social purpose organizations, financial institutions, post secondary education institutions and intermediaries that come together to raise awareness, build capacity and support social enterprise on Vancouver Island. www.secatalyst.ca

  Guided 70+ staff and Board of Directors through a significant change process, which resulted in:-An evolved organizational culture into an innovative, blended value non-profit enterprise with high impact, both from a community and city wide perspective; -A new financial model which flipped the operational budget from 75% grant dependency to 75% sustainable, self generated, diversified revenue streams; -50% growth to the operational budget;-Community real estate purchase which increased the neighbourhood assets by $700,000; -Deepen city wide engagement, programs increase from 10 to 60 per semester, addition of local events, and a summer long Farmer's Market; and-Creation of a social enterprise – Little Acorn Daycare to provide high quality early childhood care for 60+ children in the neighbourhood. Highlights of this 4 year old social enterprise include: *Utilized as a teaching forum to next generation of ECE Leaders; *Work experience partnership with Garth Homer Society; *95% self funded; and *Increased neighbourhood employment with 7 full time jobs, various part time and seasonal positions.
