Becca Spence Dobias
Kristi is a great supervisor and inspiring leader. As the project coordinator at Glenhaven, she showed tremendous organizational skills, managing numerous volunteers and planning events. She was always firm with volunteers about honoring their commitments while still being a valuable resource and mentor who provided advice on balancing those commitments with a college workload. When I was selected to take over as project coordinator after her graduation, Kristi patiently trained and prepared me for the position, leaving me more than ready for the challenge. On top of her work ethic and leadership, Kristi was inspirational in her passion for her work. She showed grace and compassion, always making the children from diverse backgrounds proud of their cultures and confident that they could succeed. I am confident Kristi can excel in any position she aspires to.

They both returned on 10 year anniversary of an event they held at the conference called Table Talk. Table Talk was an event in which they created small table discussions about racism in the cafeteria for one day. People as the entered the room were assigned to a table with a facilitator and would have a guided conversation about race. This event changed both of their lives and gave each a moment of clarity. DUET is about creating teachable moments for a profound understanding of your personal purpose in dismantling systems of oppression. This event ten years ago did exactly that for both co-founders so they have created an organization to do the same for others.
