In my role as a project manager/director I have been responsible for the management and delivery of numerous projects in the oil and gas, mining and infrastructure sectors across Australia, Asia and the Middle East. This has included environmental and social impact assessments, approval strategies, closure planning, compliance auditing, environmental and social management plans and review of environmental management systems. I am experienced working across the life cycle of projects from development approvals, through to operational management and closure and have been responsible for the management of complex environmental and social impact assessments for major mining and infrastructure development projects.

In my role as a risk assessor, I conducted over 150 human health and ecological risk assessments for petroleum service stations, depots and terminals, mines, power stations, landfills and other industrial sites contaminated with various chemicals including petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons and other solvents, metals, cyanide, methane, chlorofluorocarbons, polyhalogenated compounds, ammonia, nitrate and fluoride.I developed detailed conceptual site models for contamination present in soil, groundwater, air, sediment and surface water and developed proficiency in a range of areas including migration modelling, toxicity assessments, calculation of exposure concentrations, derivation of site specific risk based criteria and development of risk management recommendations. I have conducted assessments for numerous exposure pathways including vapour inhalation, direct ingestion, particulate inhalation, dermal contact, plant uptake, and aerosol inhalation and ingestion.I completed multiple reviews of human health and ecological risk assessments conducted by other consultants as part of statutory environmental audits or as support for a technical advisor to the Department of Defence.
