      A passionate playwright and emerging screenwriter, Kristen has written dozens of original scripts and a number of adaptations for the stage and screen. there are currently fifteen productions of her plays being rehearsed in Australia and around the world. Kristen has recently delved into the world of screenwriting and is co-writing a TV series inspired by the historical gangs of Sydney called PUSH. She is also currently collaborating in the writing of a play entitled QUEER TASSY, for the 2021 Adelaide Fringe and is also adapting it into a screenplay format.       Kristen has enjoyed her position as a Drama teacher at Cornerstone College in the beautiful Adelaide Hills for the past 18 years. She is lucky enough to work in a school with colleagues and students who celebrate and values the arts. Previously, Kristen studied acting at the Tasmanian College of the Arts and Education (Theatre) at The University of South Australia. Kristen also ran Drama as Therapy classes to women and children from domestic violence and child abuse backgrounds. One of Kristen major focusses is pathways and industry connections for her students, assisting young actors and technicians in finding work in careers in theatre, film and television and gaining entry into institutions to further their training. Kristen has an expansive old scholars network, organises yearly Arts Experiences to Sydney and has strong connections within the theatre industry in Adelaide, Sydney and Tasmania.       Kristen has undertaken a number of Artist Residencies at the Tasmanian Academy of the Arts. During these placements she was commissioned to write an adaptation of A Christmas Carol, deliver a ‘Masterclass in Shakespeare and deliver her Educational Theatre Program – BULLY!, resourcing emerging artists.
