  The WISE@Warren Program supports Women in Science and Engineering at Boston University with events, guest speakers, opportunities for career exploration, mentoring, and education for success as a women in STEM fields. As the program adviser I worked with the students to assess their needs and interests in order to plan biweekly events for the group of around 40 freshmen women. I also coordinated mentoring partnerships.

  As a member of the Elliott Group, my research focused on bioinorganic chemistry and electrochemistry. Specifically, I was interested in the fine points of electron transfer taking place in several closely related diheme cytochrome c peroxidases, comparing and contrasting electron transfer mechanisms and potentials across native and mutated enzymes.
