Undergraduate Thesis: Investigation of Site-selective Functionalization of Unprotected Carbohydrates via Photoredox Catalysis With the Wendlandt Group, I primarily researched methodology concerning the functionalization of unprotected sugars via photoredox catalysis, specifically through SET and HAT mechanisms. Previous work includes synthesizing organic charge-transfer complexes and photoredox catalyzed fluorination and bromination of various substrates.
