I developed, marketed, and executed events and conferences for 100 to 1,000 alumni, both domestically and internationally on a ship; including the bi-annual Forum on Global Engagement that explored current global issues with speakers including Nobel Peace Prize winner and ISE Board member Desmond Tutu, civil rights leader Julian Bond, and the first woman Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. I designed and implemented Semester at Sea’s first comprehensive alumni program to cultivate, involve, and serve 60,000 alumni worldwide of this 50-year-old study abroad program, which has resulted in stronger connections to alumni members, increased financial support, and renewed participation in all aspects of the program.
