    • FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
      • 1998 - 2010

Funding: Krista was accepted as a career missionary with World Partners and assigned to serve CADI-RO. Centro de Assistência e Desenvolvimento Intergral – Rondônia (Center for Assistance and Holistic Development in the State of Rondônia Brazil). CADI-RO is a church-based development project for socially vulnerable communities. As a missionary, Krista was responsible for maintaining contact with her financial supporters and keeping them informed about the work. Krista’s main objective was to ensure that her financial supporters stayed engaged and interested in continuing to support the project. Over the course of her time with CADI-RO, she was able to not only maintain her financial supporters, but also encourage additional supporters and funds for projects, such as micro loans. Implementation: Krista’s founding responsibilities included surveying vulnerable communities, devising programs to meet the needs of those communities, and motivating people to volunteer in the programs she created. Within the first year, CADI-RO became a legal entity with certification for charitable donations and funding on the local level. By CADI-RO’s eighth year under Krista’s direction, it had achieved all of the benchmarks to become recognized as a federal charitable organization and was able to receive federal funding. As Executive Director, Krista oversaw 8 programs and their 8 coordinators, 50+ volunteers, and 2 full time staff delivering services to over 1800 individuals. Krista was successful in establishing the relationship between the board of directors and the coordinators. She was also responsible for ensuring that strategic yearly planning and training occurred. Krista ensured that CADI-RO had representation on all municipal committees that enabled CADI to apply for and receive government funding. Show less
