  I secured a position within the company promptly after graduating from my Mechanical Engineering Degree and my initial role title was 'Systems Engineer'​ for a 6 month period. The plan was that I would assist in the implementation of the soon to be rolled out Infor LN ERP system and once the system was up and running I would be given a more mechanical biased role on the basis I was successful in the initial 6 month probationary period. Fast forward 36 months and I have served as a Process Engineer for the past 30 months which primarily involves improving production line performance monitored by OEE, Improving how both operators and engineers work on a day-to-day basis. My role at Rettig also includes project management, dealing with and working along side external service contractors, machine component design and machine maintenance work and survey's. Aside from engineering biased tasks I am also involved with various 5S and health and safety improvement tasks on a day-to-day basis, As of 2016 I am officially a member of the occupational health and safety institute, IOSH. At the beginning of 2016 I completed a REIS robotics course in order to create S.O.P's for operator training purposes. My current role does cover a wide array of disciplines and recently have taken an internal auditing role on the sidelines which is geared towards achieving ISO9001:2015. Show less
