Having previously been self employed working 65+ hour weeks and not seeing my family and friends, I decided a change was needed to spend more time with partner and children.Having a vast experience of estimating and managing tenders of high value projects through my previous position, I saw a estimator position come up for WG&R. I had previous completed sub contracting works for WG&R and knew they were a great company with good solid history and new how they worked as a company. I applied for position and was offered the job. After a short 9 months in the estimating position there was a opportunity arise within the company to become a project manager which I jumped at the chance at and applied for and to my surprise again was offered the position.Although the position is tough and still have some long days, calls on weekends and evenings it is nothing compared to what I was use to. Which in turn has given me a better quality of life and a great company to work for and push my career forward.

As a City & Guilds trained electrician, I began working in many different commercial and domestic environments, gradually cementing my position as a trusted security installations expert. As my previous sole trader business grew, I began to attract more and more complex projects throughout the country. So too did my current business partner Mark Copley, who also ran his own firm. Having worked with Mark in the past, we realised that together we could offer something different – an installations specialist providing security, electrical and audio solutions. We tested the market and demand for such a turn-key service was certainly evident, and not just in West Yorkshire, where we are based. We therefore founded [Ti] Installations (following a re-brand) and are now very much focused on the continued growth of this rapidly expanding brand. With a hands-on role, I enjoy working with customers and suppliers on a day to day basis, ensuring that every job is completed to the highest possible standards. I have also been committed to ensuring our business has achieved a number of industry accreditations and certificates including IPAF, CHAS and UKATA asbestos awareness. And with 12 years' experience and counting, I look forward to the next phase of development for our Huddersfield-based team.

Having spent seven years specialising in the installation of Electronic Point of Sal (EPoS) technologies, and working with retail customers throughout the UK, I became very passionate about all things technical. As my expertise grew I knew I could share this passion with a wider range of clients, in varied industry sectors, and so KJS Systems was born. As a City & Guilds trained electrician, I began working in many different commercial and domestic environments, gradually cementing my position as a trusted electrical engineer and security installations expert.
