Upon moving back to the States, I changed careers into a B2B outside sales role. We are a welding consumables distribution company fully backed by Japan. I spend most of my days contacting current customers and finding new business opportunities.-Territory includes the entire state of Kentucky and southern Ohio. -Manage over 100 accounts.-Work along side other manufacturers to sell their products. English Second Language Teacher
-
Mar 2019 - Mar 2020
Moved back to a conversation school as I enjoy the freedom in the classroom. Classes were taught solely by myself with the extra responsibility to make and execute my own lesson plans. Had wonderful colleagues who helped me grow to be a much more efficient and affective teacher. Completely changed my mindset and principles on what makes a "good" teacher. Thanks to that, I believe that I was able to become a much better teacher than the previous years.-Students ranged from the age of three years old all the way thru adults.-The average classroom was around seven students.

Assistant Language Teacher
-
Mar 2018 - Apr 2019
Taught English as an assistant language teacher (ALT). Grew familiar to teach in a larger sized classroom. Taught along side a native Japanese English teacher. This allowed me to learn how to teach with a team and not just by myself. Lessons were planned out together and we would closely teach along side a textbook. -Taught in two separate Japanese Middle Schools. -Classrooms averaged around 30 students in them. English Second Language Instructor
-
Mar 2017 - Apr 2018
Taught English as a second language (ESL) classes for a very small, privately owned school in Aichi, Japan. Was able to transfer what I studied in university as a linguist into the classroom. This allowed me to further advance the English ability for the students attending my school. I did this with a focus on phonetics and phonology. -Students ranged from the age of two years old all the way thru adults. -Full freedom in the classroom and made my own lesson plans daily.-Visited nursery schools three times a week to teach their littlest ones.-Classsrooms averaged about five students in them. (Except nursery schools which had about 50+)
