I gained valuable Full Stack Web Developer skills in this 20+ week program dedicated to in-depth technical knowledge and soft skills necessary to flourish in the modern workplace. This program allowed me to build complex server-side web applications that use powerful relational databases to store real-time data. In addition, I researched and completed multiple projects using the latest web technology, including: - Movie Trailer Website: Developed server-side code (Python-based application) that renders list of favorite movies, including box art imagery and a movie trailer URL. The data presented a web page allowing users to review their movies and watch trailers. - Portfolio Website: Created a personal portfolio, responsive website with HTML and CSS to link all projects associated with front-end web developer degree requirements. - Logs Analysis: Applied Python to extract data from web service logs to determine "What is the most popular page?" and "When was the error rate high?" using advanced SQL queries. - Item Catalog: This project used HTML, CSS, Python, SQL, and basic CRUD resulting in a sophisticated item catalog with a variety of categories. The user registration and authentication allowed registered users to post, edit, and delete their own items. - Neighborhood Map: Incorporated Google Maps API and Foursquare API into a website featuring a neighborhood map. The application required additional functionality including map markers to identify popular locations, search functionality to easily discover these locations, and a list view to support location browsing. - Configured a secure, Linux web application server, to host web applications. Utilizing a baseline installation of a Linux distribution on a virtual machine, I ensured the environment was secure from attack vectors and installed web and database server connectivity, along with ongoing updates.
