As soon as I completed my studies & received my post-study work visa, I got this role for the Puketapapa Community Driving School (operated by MAT)! I’m tasked with building partnerships & create customer streams for the driving school to become an independent social enterprise. It is a broad role that involves a range of responsibilities such as marketing & comms, volunteer coordination, building relationships with stakeholders such as unions, partner community organisations, Puketapapa Local Board, to name a few.

Feb 2021 - Jul 2021
After volunteering for 5 months at Migrant Action Trust (MAT), I was offered a paid role out of the blue. It was a part-time opportunity while I was in the last semester of my master's. I was tasked with devising a lucid training program for an ambitious project - the Driving Simulator, a USP for MAT. I'm responsible for marketing and communications on MAT's social media pages, prepare quarterly newsletters & assist with admin & HR tasks on a need-basis.

It was an awesome fixed-term opportunity during general elections in NZ. I got to learn about how jovial Kiwi work culture is. It was a critical yet fun work of counting votes and referendums and working on some administrative tasks when needed. It was an awesome fixed-term opportunity during general elections in NZ. Again through internal posting, I landed in a role that was pivotal in my career. This is where I learned about not only HRM but business and management as a whole. After Motif's acquisition by TTEC, I became a part of a global family, and my role became further enriched. Apart from employee engagement, grievance and dispute mediations, I got a chance to liaise with associates and managers from operations, IT, accounts, and facilities departments. Moreover, though we have a dedicated Talent Acquisition team, I got a chance to experience the recruitment process owing to increased business requirements. This role played a significant role in my development, both as a person and professional. I left the job to study further in New Zealand.

I earned this rare, high pay-for-performance opportunity through internal posting. It was so exciting working a job that is so engrossing and based on critical judgements. Working for a global travel website, I dialled up banks, customers, scammers, hotel and airlines in over 100 countries to investigate a potential fraudulent transaction.

My first job that I started right after my last semester. Hitachi is a gigantic and highly reputed air conditioner manufacturer in India & across the globe. I was appointed in NSC (National Service Centre), the department oversees customer service across India. It was an awesome experience working for a Japanese organisation where the aim is to treat everyone with the utmost respect.I got a chance to manage ORM (Online Reputation Management), it's focus was on resolving customers' grievances posted on Hitachi's official Facebook and Twitter pages. My job was to be the first point of contact to customers and facilitate closure of grievances posted on social media pages by at the earliest. Typically, it involved communicating with regional service managers, partner agencies, manufacturing and warehouses (for spares), and incumbents at HQ (for unit replacements or refunds). I believe, this role was a stepping stone for my career for I learned skills very critical to the advancement of my career such as organisational skills, customer service, time management, ability to work within deadlines, meet the targets, improved English and overall communication, and learned to develop relationships across all levels at work. After working there for a year, I left the job to have a vacation, and find another that would pay better.
