I was fortunate to work with Keethia for 3 years while she was Student Services Manager at Year Up. As a member of a team, Keethia brings integrity, a positive attitude and a deep sense of commitment to everything she does. She engages actively, with the end in mind, and has strong follow through when working toward shared goals. She is a great collaborator, sharing her opinions and ideas with respect and candor, while keeping an open mind that allows others the freedom to share ideas and opinions without hesitation. When working with the young adults served by the Year Up program, Keethia operates with exceptional warmth and kindness. She provides support in the form of resources and coaching, helping young adults to gain access to necessary support services and to build the confidence and life skills needed to be successful. Keethia is also a talented facilitator. She has a contagious enthusiasm that grabs the attention of those she is leading. She is accessible, charismatic and welcoming to all, allowing her to command the attention of her audience with a sense of purpose and a sense of humor, all while creating the desire to know more. Keethia has the skills, work ethic and EQ to be an asset to any team. She will be a highly valued contributor in each role she chooses to take on and at every stage of her career journey.

Keethia is one of the most incredible, empathetic people I know. Anyone who meets her is immediately touched by her energy and thoughtfulness--she is unforgettable in that way. She is incredibly skilled at public speaking--when she speaks, you want to listen. She commands a room. Her care for the people she serves is unparalleled--she does everything in her power to make sure they are taken care of properly, and then some. She connects the people she serves with an array of resources, as well as just a listening ear. It was an honor to work alongside her for nearly a year. She served as a role model for me at Year Up, and I know that she will continue to make a huge impact in the lives of everyone she serves. Her career trajectory will only continue up from here, and I can't wait to see what kind of leadership positions she is entrusted with in the future.

Keethia is a kind hearted and hard working woman whose work ethic and dedication has touched me and left a strong impact on the Year Up Greater Philadelphia program. In the brief time that I've known her, she has been a consistent source of encouragement, humor, and accountability - helping cohort 13 gain "life skills" needed to succeed during and after our respective internships. She is a powerful role model and servant leader; and though she will be missed, I am glad to see her succeed and believe that she will be a pillar and a reliable resource to any team, board, or group she becomes a part of.
