In my current position I’m responsible for business development on two levels in an area spread over the UK, BeNeLux and DACH. The levels of business development are divided between key account management and the construction of a local reseller channel. The key account management consists of finding and locating different key accounts in different countries and markets. After approaching and finding the right person within the key account structure determining possible needs and pain points is crucial. An audit might reveal pain points and possible improvement possibilities. Based on that audit an ROI based project can be outlined and strategically implemented. After a project is implemented make sure post sales activities, user cases and testimonials as well as further partnership with the key account, are initiated and maintained.
