  I did a review of the current status of renewable energy and energy efficiency policies, regulations and programs in Zimbabwe and energy efficiency regulations in Europe and Southern Africa that might be of interest for Zimbabwe.   At SNV Zimbabwe, department renewable energy, I studied the economical and natural potential of solar PV in rural Zimbabwe (Supervisor: Erik Boonstoppel). Part of the RENEW program. Experience gained in working with local communities. A survey among 300 households has been executed to collect data from villages in the local areas of Zimbabwe.In this study qualitative (Interviews, desk study) and quantitative methods (Survey, processing in SPSS) are used. Results from this study are now used by ILO (International Labour Organisation) and SNV to stimulate and develop local entrepreneurship in Zimbabwe. Show less
