Joined as a junior when I came back to school after a gap year during Covid-19, working as a Sales Representative for my internship I was hoping to improve my professional communication skills along with growing as a sales man. Within the first couple meetings I realized this was where I belonged, I knew this would be an organization that would stretch my skills and help me improve as a professional. In the time I've been a member I can say this is true. Within the Academy of Professional Selling we were required to compete in the Bowling Green Sales Competition. The opening round consisted of using the RMKRS SpeedSell app, to practice and perfect a 90 second elevator pitch, in which I placed 3rd and moved onto the final round that involved a 12 minute roleplay. The roleplay involved the competitor being a seller for Blue Rhino and attempting to sell their Propane program to a Marathon store owner. These 2 activities combined forced me out of my comfort zone to the point that I had no choice but to grow and it helped propel to me success for my 15-minute Gartner sales roleplay for my Professional Selling Class. Prospected for potential clients for energy efficiency programs, qualifying prospects through inspecting their attic space and checking if they were below current building codes. Once qualified, I would take the prospects through my sales process to see which option was the best fit for them and their home. Afterwards I would determine the best fit for customer, and then close by overcoming objections and being patient. Generated and serviced $50,000 in revenue. Some of the highlights of this internship is I have sold $5,000 in ad space for videos company uploads to YouTube that receive over 1.5 million impressions. Along with this I make 1-3 Instagram posts a day that average a reach of 40,000 - 60,000 people and have helped grown the account following by 5,000 or close to 30% Some of the highlights of this internship is I have sold $5,000 in ad space for videos company uploads to YouTube that receive over 1.5 million impressions. Called prospective customers answering any questions they may have, along with helping them with fitting into our schedule if they sign up. It was my job to ensure every member left the facility happy and satisfied with their swim lessons. If members had any problems or concerns about with the program I would do my best to solve the issue or quell any fear about the program.
