Kartik joined UOW's Enterprise Applications Support team in 2019. He bought with him an immense knowledge of PL/SQL and troubleshooting. Whilst Kartik was new in the application support space, his pre-existing troubleshooting and application development skills were key to his success in the role. His skillset in application development really shaped his understanding and allowed him to smoothly transition into the role. Kartik has a very outgoing and friendly personality. This is one of his greatest assets as he is able to bridge the gap between technically minded individuals and also business minded individuals. Throughout his time in this role, he built many professional relationships with those across the university. He also learnt many new skills and very quickly became and SME across a variety of application offerings. I have no doubt that Kartik can rise to the challenge of any role he applies himself to.

Kartik has been the key application support officer for our records system for the past few years. He has very quickly picked up the knowledge required in the support of a system which has many components and interactions, and shows an amazing talent at being able to quickly identify problems (both technical and process-driven), and find cost-effective solutions. He’s able to see the bigger picture in any issue, and effectively communicates the pros and cons of the alternative solutions he provides. Kartik is always enthusiastic and keen to help, often goes above and beyond in his assistance, and can be relied upon to quickly respond and resolve any emergency. He communicates well, is always smiling and friendly, and effectively deals with colleagues, end users, administrators, management and vendors. I would recommend Kartik for any role, at any place. He’s a joy to work with, and makes everything easy for those around him (particularly for those of us who are not so technically minded)! We’d be lost without him!!
