Konstantinos worked as an Extreme Blue Intern in the TPF and WTCF Development Lab, which I manage. The Extreme Blue program is an IBM initiative to bring in the best of the best interns to work on new and interesting projects together as a stand-alone team. This team was tasked with creating a customer database and gaming application for a potential customer proof of concept on IBM's WebSphere Transaction Cluster Facility. Konstantinos showed an excellent work ethic and great ability on all aspects of the project. This team had very little oversight and were allowed a great deal of leeway in how to accomplish their goals. Without the right people, this can be disastrous, but they proved they were mature enough to handle that level of freedom and successfully completed the project on a very tight schedule. From a technical aspect, Konstantinos had the skills and abilities to do the job well. He took the lead in areas where he was the expert and was always willing to learn in areas where someone else had more knowledge. He was always quick to offer up new thoughts and ideas on how to proceed, but was also willing to acknowledge when another idea was the better was to proceed. He proved to be an excellent teammate. This team was also responsible for presenting, numerous times at various checkpoints, their progress and results to our entire lab and senior management. The team handled this well and Konstantinos, despite not being a native English speaker and worrying about his skills in this area, was an excellent presenter. All in all, Konstantinos was an excellent colleague and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
Nikolaos Margaritis, Ph.D.
Konstantinos is a hard working and promising colleague. A disciplined individual who knows how to set goals. He manages to provide technicall solutions which are innovative and at the same time suitable for the needs of the customer. Definitely someone you can depend on.
