I acquired new contracts, recruited staff, communicated and forged relationships with hospital leadership and successfully aligned the administration's agenda and critical care objectives with the goals of medical staff. I also assessed quality of care, analyzed data, implemented new programs, and introduced daily ICU rounding protocols to maximize safety, as well as coached medical staff on new ICU processes. I created goals in line with hospital policies and coordinated workflow systems and produced operational plans. I conducted peer reviews, monitored staff performance, and trained Nurse Practitioners and ancillary staff to work in the ICU. I chaired the Acute Care Committee and steered meetings, spearheaded research and development, and enhanced ICU programs at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital, California Hospital Medical Centre, Glendale Memorial Hospital, and Tennova Hospital Clarksville. I created staff reporting structures, assigned duties at multiple sites, and partnered with ED, hospitalist, and observation units to maximize efficiency and boost patient care. • Designed new process to improve quality metrics around ventilator weaning protocols, resulting in a decreased overall length of stay. • Instituted and led the respiratory airway management team to advance patient care. • Crafted case management protocols to increase throughput by introducing Multidisciplinary Rounding process, improving the early identification of discharge needs, and standardizing family meetings to enhance communication. • Initiated tele-ICU program to communicate essential healthcare information to various sites electronically. • Directed initiative to introduce first wireless charging (QI) process for echocardiogram readings.
