Managing production related tasks including planning, control & troubleshooting for achieving the planned periodic schedules.  Aptitude for the problem solving in cost reduction through rationalization & optimization of resources.  Co-coordinating with maintenance teams to ensure efficient production as well as the overall reliability & safety of plant & personnel.  Ensuring high productivity by following Standard operating procedures.  Maintaining Quality standard as per mill requirements.  Coordinating shut down activities.  Constantly upgrade the skill level of workforce.  As an engineer taking initiative in planning and achieving production targets.  Familiar with the automation system of SIEMENS Level 2 and Level 2.5  Looking after the cobble removing system and reducing the mill delay for rolling.  Preparing the production report of the hot strip mill.  To maintain actual process parameters i.e. roll force, % reduction, temperature etc for various grade of steel as per standard.  Maintaining Transfer Bar level and Width.  Roll change process and calibration of mill.  Effective control of scale by de-scales & scale suppression system.  Aware of defects taking place in WORK ROLLS during rolling & their resultant effect on the quality of strip rolled.  Familiar with all the equipment in Hot Strip Mill.
