      Assisting the fee earner in handling a caseload of Conveyancing transactions, I started with administrative duties such as logging the post on OMS (case management system) and saving emails to the relevant matter using Outlook and OMS. Communicating with the new business and post completions sectors allowed me to file documents easily. Later I would conduct searches using TM secure on properties that we were purchasing such as the Anti-Money Laundering search, Groundsure (the Environmental search), Drainage and Water searches and the local search, paying great attention to detail. Freehold and leasehold sale transactions required official copies and title plans which I requested from the Land Registry website and contracts which I drafted on the drafting application, Oyez. I corresponded throughout the day with clients, financial institutions and law firms acting for the other side using Precedent to draft letters. Show less

I was responsible for gathering all of the information that I needed for each transaction, requesting mortgage redemptions, title deeds and title plans from financial institutions and the Land Registry.
